WCGTC 2007 World Conference
The World Council for Gifted and Talented Children
are an organisation who drive forward improvements in the education
of gifted and talented children around the world. Member countries are
asked to hold the biannual World Conference and in 2007 England has
been selected, with the University of Warwick as hosts.
80-20 was selected from numerous agencies who pitched for the work,
Ken Sloan – the Director of Corporate Services said "The
selection panel was impressed by the creativity being demonstrated and
their commitment to a high quality end product, creative and innovative
solutions, and ongoing support. Having had the first phase of work delivered
we are very pleased with what has been produced and look forward to
an ongoing relationship in the future."
To win the pitch 80-20 created a logo-style and branding for the conference,
which was taken forward onto a coaster and round leaflet, these items
were then placed into a round brushed-silver can with the new logo embossed
into it. One thousand of the cans were produced, along with roll-up
banners, stationery and other support material, all items were then
shipped out to New Orleans where they were handed-out to delegates attending
the 2005 World Conference in mid-August. After the USA Conference Ken
commented "The cans have gone down extremely
well at the conference and there's already quite a buzz about 2007!!
A job well done - many
thanks for all your help on this and your swift work."
